BrushButton
A connected toothbrush assistant — before Alexa and AI existed.
Why
Philips wanted an innovation that lived up to its product portfolio — genuinely new, genuinely useful, and unmistakably Philips. The original brief pointed at a mobile-only solution; the real opportunity was in the bathroom itself.
What we made
The BrushButton — a small, mirror-mounted assistant connected to Google and Spotify that delivers two minutes of personalized content during your morning and evening brush. A companion app sets it up and tracks the habit.
The craft
We started with a cardboard prototype — an LED ring and a button — and tested it with Google Zoo before building the real thing with Studio Sophisti. The device draws on the Philips DiamondClean aesthetic to disappear into any bathroom. Careful, quiet design that aged well because it never chased a trend.
